Title: Go West
Author: petite_inconnue
Words: 181
Rating: G
Summary: A teenager leaves home.
Notes: I tend to use repetition in my writing and in this piece, I really exaggerated that tendency. So be warned

The grass was the same shade of green in every yard. The houses were the were square and white and big. The streets all looked the same. All sounded the same. All felt the same. All were the same. Greenwood park at five in the morning was no different from Greenwood park at any other time of the day.

The door seemed to slam behind him as he stepped out, his school backpack slung over his shoulder, his notebook under his arm. Timidly, he placed himself into his father's car. He waited a minute. Reconsidering.

And then he drove. He went as fast as he could, scared that someone would follow him. It was such a nonsensical thought, it was too early in the morning for the watch dogs to be up  -And yet..

He drove faster. Fast as he could. Away from everything he knew -to the west, to the city. He drove west, where they were said to be. Them. Those ones. The ones who had inspired him to take off, the ones he wanted to meet

 -The Bohemians.
